The rapid evolution of engineering technologies has profoundly transformed industrial operations across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, transportation, healthcare, and construction. This review examines key emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), additive manufacturing, robotics, and advanced materials—and evaluates their practical applications, benefits, and challenges in real-world industrial settings. Through systematic review of peer-reviewed literature from 2015 to 2025, this paper synthesizes trends, implementation strategies, outcomes, and anticipated future developments. Findings indicate that while these technologies significantly improve productivity, efficiency, and innovation, their successful integration depends on organizational readiness, workforce skills, and standardized policy frameworks. Recommendations for industry stakeholders emphasize strategic investment, cross-sector collaboration, and sustainable adoption pathways.
