Rapid urbanization and population growth have placed unprecedented pressure on existing infrastructure systems, necessitating the development of sustainable, resilient, and intelligent infrastructure. Traditional civil engineering practices are increasingly inadequate in addressing challenges such as climate change, resource depletion, urban congestion, and environmental degradation. This research paper presents a comprehensive analysis of sustainable smart infrastructure development through the integration of advanced construction materials and digital technologies. The study explores innovative materials such as high-performance concrete, recycled composites, self-healing materials, and nanomaterials, alongside digital tools including Building Information Modeling (BIM), Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Digital Twins. The paper evaluates their combined role in enhancing structural performance, lifecycle sustainability, cost efficiency, and environmental responsibility. Challenges, implementation barriers, and future research directions are also discussed. The findings emphasize that smart and sustainable infrastructure is essential for future urban development and long-term socio-economic resilience.
